A DELIGHTFUL story with LOTS OF LAUGHS! But the best part is the GREAT ADVICE it contains for young writers and for those who teach young writers! It’s not always easy to teach the structure of writing a paragraph to K-5 students. Hamburger Harriet unlocks the “how to” of writing a strong paragraph while it shares WHY you want to write with pizzazz and interesting details. Onomatopoeia, similes, metaphors, great details and wonderful alliterations abound. It turns out the “biggest burger breakthrough” in “Hamburger Harriet Won’t Settle” is the way this story shows how fun it is to read great writing and then breaks down the steps to follow to write great paragraphs! I am thrilled to have this book to work with my students! Linda, NJ Teacher
